Skerries Watermill and Windmills

Travelling along Ireland’s East Cost, Skerries is 30km north of Dublin and a short detour from the M1 Motorway. The town is well known for its sandy beaches, off-shore islands, marina and harbour. The mill complex, located at the southern end of the town, is the focal point of a 45 acre Town Park comprising walkways, playing pitches and water courses.

The Watermill building extends to four floors and houses the Watermill Café, Craft Shop and Exhibition Gallery. The guided tour brings visitors to the waterwheel: the corn field and the two windmills, one a five-sail, the other a thatched four-sail and both in working order. Try your hand at grinding; sample our in-house baking and cooking; take a while to browse in our craft shop. Skerries Mills is open daily throughout the year from 10.30 each morning.
