April / May Events

We have a fantastic line-up of concerts throughout April and May. First up is a performance on Saturday 12th April by Eleanor McEvoy, described by Maverick Magazine as a 'genuinely soulful singer'. On Thursday 24th April Airfield is hosting a concert by singer, song-writer Eithne Ní Chatháin. Eithne will be singing Seán Nós, playing fiddle and performing her own original compositions with piano and guitar. Gerald Peregrine will be playing a collection of popular cello classics at Airfield on Saturday 17th May. And on Saturday 24th May we have a performance by the Delmaine String Quartet.

We have a number of celebrations for May this year including A May Day Evening with Des Geraghty & Friends on Thursday 1st May. Come along for an evening of music, dance, readings and chat to celebrate Labour Day. And on Sunday 4th May Airfield will be hosting A Celebration of Bealtaine for the whole family. There will be games on the farm, story telling, face painting, May Bush decorating, a giant Céilí and much more.

  • A Celebration of Bealtaine for all the family
    Bealtaine was always a celebration in the Irish calendar which ushered in the wonderful summer season; it was a time fun, marriages, romance, and parties! We are throwing a big party at Airfield because for us, May Day marks the beginning the farm being at its most lustrous, the animals have green grass to eat, the butter and milk are in abundance; let's celebrate with a big Irish style hooley!
